Appreciations:
Thank you to our Room Parents, Jill (Arlo’s mom), and Kelly and Oscar (Ruby’s mom and dad). We appreciate you!
It has been so great meeting and welcoming new and returning families. Our thirteen students make a lovely class!
These last few weeks the children have been exploring the classroom with curiosity, and trying many works they find interesting in the different areas our classroom offers; practical life, sensorial, language, math, culture (art, botany, geography), and fantasy corner.
We are very impressed with how the children are smoothly adjusting to our routine, which includes several transitions and multitasking activities.
Meeting New Friends
It’s also a pleasure to witness how friendships are budding during our first school month.
Apples
As every year, our first theme is apples. The children have been learning about this delicious fruit, and together we made different apple projects, such as parts of the apple, apple stamping, hole-punching apple, counting apples, apple puzzle, apple prints, and apple art.
Cooking project
Our cooking project was apple sauce. The students enjoyed chopping and grinding the apples and loved the fresh applesauce!
Art with Julianne
Our art teacher Julianne visited and made bright watercolor paintings with our students. Here is a link to see some of their work.

Birthdays
We celebrated our two first September birthdays.  Arlo’s and Sofia’s birthdays brought a lot of excitement and a fun start to the beginning of our school year.
Happy birthday to Arlo and Sofia!Â
We are looking forward to seeing you all in our Back to School Night!
