Thank you, thank you, thank you for being part of the BTSN. It was so great to see you all and learn more about your family!

The BTSN highlights will be displayed in a visible place inside the classroom.

During these first weeks of school, we have been learning a lot about and getting to know our new students. We have also been getting new insights about our five returning students; they have noticeably matured, and have not only been helping their younger classmates, but also leading circle lessons!

It’s amazing how the children are so familiar with the classroom, and how easy it is to guide them through the day and its routine.

They have been exploring all the different areas our classroom offers; math, language, sensorial, botany, geography, art, and practical life. The water works from practical life are the children’s favorite. Aside from being really fun, these activities also foster independence, sense of order, concentration, and collaboration.

Cooking project

We closed the Apple Unit with a cooking project. A large group of children made apple crisp. We saw them chopping, adding, mixing all the ingredients and even cleaning up the cooking space with lot of enthusiasm. Everybody loved and enjoyed this seasonal dessert!

Yoga is another discipline the children are enjoying on Monday mornings.

Geography

We brought the land and water work to the sandbox, and the children really enjoyed making an island together.

Birthdays

We celebrated our last September birthday. Ruby G. turned three years old and her family shared Ruby’s live milestones. We ended the celebration with a dance party to the children’s favorite song/dance, the Robot Birthday and everybody danced!

Swimming Coconut and Fairies

With the apples exiting, fairies and the Fish Unit are taking the stage.

In a group, the children made a fairy house, and Griselda brought her set of fairies that she crafted with nature and recycled materials. Together, we created a space for the fairies to live in a fairy house and forest. It is called the fairyland table, where two children at a time can play and create their very own stories.

Swimming Coconut, our pet comet goldfish, is becoming very popular. The children are looking for their turn to feed him/her and love observing when Coconut eats and swims around.

We love our class!!!
