Caterpillar Happenings

The past two weeks we have continued our inquiry into birds and honed in on social emotional growing edges. Caterpillar friends are interacting with each other more and more without teacher scaffolding: having spontaneous conversations, inviting each other to join in play, setting boundaries around their bodies, asking for a turn, expressing how they feel about someone else’s actions, and sharing what and how they want to play. We have also been singing even more than usual, here are some of the latest Caterpillar hits:

I Love the Mountains as sung by Charlie Hope – with an added verse about birds during the bridge

added bird verse:

I love the flying birds

I love the hummingbirds

I love the sparrows

and the Oak Titmouse

I love the mallard duck

and the woodpecker
