Welcome to Blackberry Creek!!

Hello Blackberry Creek Families,

I am so excited to see you all in less than a week! I hope that you enjoyed your summer break and are looking forward to this coming school year.

I wanted to introduce myself to you. My name is Leslie, I’m originally from east LA. I live in Oakland with my best friend and her dog (pictured below). I love flowers, boba, reading, trying new restaurants. I am trilingual so that means in our class we will hear many languages throughout the day. Community and kindness are the most important to me. My hope for Blackberry Creek children is that they enjoy coming to school, feel seen, and understand that learning is important but so are they.

I wanted to send a reminder of what we will need for the school year:

Water Bottle
A spare change of clothes (only if you feel like your child will need it)
Snack and Lunch
Sketchbook (optional)
A family photo

New Family Orientation and Sneak Peek Tuesday, August 29
- 10-10:45 -For New TBS Families
- 10:45-11:45- All Families welcome

First Day of School Wednesday, August 30

As a reminder Sneak Peek day is just a day to say hi, to ease any nerves, and see the place where we will spend most our day. Also as a reminder Blackberry Creek is a work in progress, it is a community space that will evolve and grow.
