Hello Blackberry Parenting Adults,
Lately we’ve pulling cards from our diversity and inclusions box. One of the cards we pulled was about bullying and ab0ut doing the right thing. We talked about how it would feel if only one person stood up for you? How would it feel if many people stood up for you? We talked about the importance of doing what is right even if we are a bit scared.
We talked about Black History Month. We talked the importance of celebrating black joy, black excellence, black changemakers, and black disruptors. Black history is integral to our history.
We are continuing our practice of contractions and got new vocabulary words this week. They are annoy, separate, invent, and peeking.
We’ve continued our work on water and how water impacts our planet. We are creating different posters for natural body of waters.
We did a practice 100 day project in class with any math tools they could find and some were even able to make 200 projects. Last week we had a domino bridge challenge that no one got! But this week we had a puzzle where different shapes had to fit into a square and we found so much success.
We look forward to seeing you next week for our music performance, 100th day of school project, and our Valentine’s day brunch. This will be our very first performance in a long time. Some of us are nervous, excited, scared, and just doing are very best.
Best,
Leslie
