On November 16, 2022 the TBS Board of Trustees met at the UAC campus.  

Key highlights from the meeting include: 

  • Advancement: Our TBS fund has kicked off with 100% participation by the board. We are looking to meet our goal of raising more than $250,000 for the school and upon community wide launch our first contributions came from members of the TBS faculty. We also had a lead donation of $20,000! We have also engaged with an outside consultant to help us drive additional funding resources for the school long term.   • Audit: The Audit committee has successfully finished its yearly audit process with an outside external firm. This will be presented to the board during the December meeting. 
  • Strategic Planning: Efforts continue around the Strategic Planning process. Three think tank meetings were conducted with parents and teachers at the UAC and ECC campuses.  These conversations will be a part of future work for the Strategic planning group. 
  • Governance: It is time to start recruitment for all open seats on the board for next year. The board welcomes any and all nominations for consideration.  If you or someone you know are interested in board service please let us know.  This can be a parenting adult at the school or a member of the community that supports the mission of TBS.  Please connect with goverance@theberkeleyschool.org to submit a name for consideration.  

Our next meeting will take place on December 14, 2022 from 6-8:30pm at the University Campus.
