We hope you had a beautiful weekend and your Monday is chugging along gracefully. Students set up their reader’s notebooks today for a year of prolific reading. Check out the table of contents tonight, reading record, and numbered pages when your child brings the notebook home tonight. Students will write about their reading goals for the year, and we will chart a course together for how to achieve them–do you want to find a series that you love? Finish more books? Get better at choosing books from the library? Now’s the time to pipe up!
Homework:
5th grade math: play Factor Captor with a friend, neighbor, or family member. You remember more of what you teach!
Writing: Write one paragraph or more about your specific reading goals for this year.
Reading: read for 20 minutes. Record the pages on your weekly assignment planner (in your binder).
