Some students opted to trace a projection from the Smart Board to adumbrate their state’s outline.

Others went freehand from a book.

Meter sticks were only useful if the state line was not determined by a river or coast feature.

The state mini-research project will be ongoing for the next few weeks and will eventually trim the upper part of our walls. Students are creating wall maps that include many details about state history, natural features, etc. Ask your child which state she is researching.

Math: 4th grade fraction comic; 5th grade multiplication 2 ways (due Wednesday)

C.S.: Finish filling out the states and capitals of all fifty states that you began today
