Welcome back and happy New Year. I hope your family had the opportunity to spend quality time together, whether enjoying good food, snuggling up together, or visiting a favorite place. I was in San Diego, cooking up a storm, riding my bike, and surfing a little bit. I was reminded once again how much the parenting responsibilities ramp up on vacation, and perhaps you were as relieved as I was for drop off this morning!

As you can see, we began our study of astronomy today, which will last for the next six weeks. We will head to Chabot Space and Science Center next Tuesday, 1/13, for a field trip, and we need drivers. Please click here to sign up. We’ll depart at 9 and return by 3. Also, let me know if you are an expert or enthusiast and are interested in sharing with the class.
