It was great to see some of you this afternoon at Sneak Peek. If you were not able to make it – not to worry – we will see you tomorrow morning at 8:30 am sharp. A few reminders to ensure a great first day:

• Pack a healthy snack. Students bring their own snacks in 4/5, and they’re generally famished by 10 am, so they’re happy to have some nourishment.
• Pack a lunch or inform your child if they are getting hot lunch. The lunch routine will be similar to last year’s, and hot lunch will be served tomorrow.
• Binders will come to school each morning and go home each afternoon. That’s where homework lives. Make sure the binder fits in their backpack, as it’s unwieldy to carry around.
• Students play on the yard each morning, then line up outside Cerrito when the gong rings at 8:30. Teachers greet them at the door with a handshake and direct them to a morning activity. Parents and students say farewell before students enter the classroom.
• Students will be on the curb at 3:15 with a teacher, unless they know to head to extended day. We will stay out until 3:25, at which point all remaining students will head to extended day.
