I have to keep it short today as I prepare for Back to School Night tomorrow. I enjoy blogging each day – it helps me reflect and communicate to you about our day. Students are supported by the homework downloads and information, though they also need to learn to record this info in their planners each afternoon.

I have blogged each day (except yesterday) so far this year, which I feel is important in the beginning of the year. I will continue to update homework each day, though I will just create a blog on Mondays in the future titled “Homework for the Week of …” I’ll simply update it each day, and that will prevent your inbox from getting blasted every time I publish something new. I’ll do a photographic and written reflection at the end of the week, and that will keep us to just two emails in your inbox each week. That being said, tonight’s homework is:

Math

4th graders do the magic square worksheet

5th graders should finish the remainder of the homework sheets in their packet (that’s all but the two divisibility rules sheets). If that’s too much after twenty minutes or so, pull the plug, and we’ll support you tomorrow!

Cultural Studies

Finish latitude and longitude worksheet we started in class this afternoon.

Read for twenty+ minutes, as usual.
