This Week
Back to School Night on Thursday, from 6 to 8. Looking forward to seeing you all!
Coastal Cleanup this Saturday for any interested families. Cerrito did oodles of shoreline cleanup the last few years, and if you’d like to continue the practice, here are the details, courtesy of Jeanine Strickland:
Albany Beach and Bulb
When: Saturday, September 17, 9am – 12pm
Where: Albany Bulb, at the foot of Buchanan Street
All materials are provided, but bring your own reusable items- plastic buckets, bags, gloves and water bottles- if you can. Sand sifting tools are also useful on the beach. Wear boots or shoes that can get dirty, and protect yourself from too much sun.
Hosted by The Watershed Project in partnership with the City of Albany. Contact Martha Berthelsen for further information at martha@thewatershedproject.
Homework
Math: 4th graders have bingo; 5th graders should finish this week’s packet by Friday. For most of you, that means you need to do the writing and extensions for the Fascinating Triangle problem.
Write! on another one of your territories in your writer’s notebook. You should put about fifteen minutes into it, at least, or about a page of writing.
Read, as always, for 20 minutes. Record your pages in your planner.
