Welcome back y’all, I hope there were some restful moments for you over the presidents’ week. We have a few exciting events on the horizon in March:
- We’re offering a Health & Puberty Parent Ed session on Tuesday, March 6 here on campus at 6:00p with Jennifer Devine, founder of Superstar Health Education (S.H.E.). The goal of our health and puberty unit is to proactively empower our students with accurate information about their maturing bodies. During the typically confusing and awkward stage of adolescence, we hope to create open communication among students, and between students and adults. Please click here to RSVP and sign up for complimentary childcare.
- Chinatown Photo Scavenger Hunt and Dim Sum Lunch Tuesday, March 13th. We would love five or six chaperones for this BART and walking field trip to SF Chinatown. It will complement our study of the Chinese experience in California. Sign up here.
Homework:
- Math:
- 4thies have a two-sided worksheet
- 5thies have a big old packet. Do a page or two a night to keep the teacher out of sight…
- Vocabulary/Spelling: Wordly Wise online. A little each night. I assigned you Quizlet sorts to study. Rock out your quiz this Friday.
- Write: 1 page every night in writer’s notebook. Topic of your choice, genre of your choice, but make it good. Parents who haven’t seen the persuasive essay Chanterelle need to check it out!!! The final products show just how much these guys grew this unit. Wow, wow, wow.
