Hey Cerritoberry— Happy Spring Break! You guys have worked hard, learned new tools, and expanded your academic and personal selves in so many ways. This week we practiced multiplication using ratio tables, dug deeper into our scientific research of marine organisms, stepped into the minds of a 19th century Californio, started a new book club book, sifted through technical difficulties…and so much more!

Here is your homework for break due Monday:
– Science: Mission Blue pt 3
– Science: Start collecting and holding on to recycled materials you can use to build your organism
– Math: 1 hour of Dreambox
– Reading: SSR 20 minutes a day—NOT YOUR BOOK CLUB BOOK.
– Spanish: Vocabulario de la casa

We are going to be “closing the classroom” from now until April 5. Although you will still have access to all the assignments and materials, students will be muted until Monday April 6.

Air hugs and virtual high fives (or pinky high fives),
Rachel, Julia, Sarah and Sam

PS—since Distance Learning makes it difficult for us to take pictures of the children in action, here are some stock photos of what we imagine it looks like:
