Finish the rough draft of your writing piece. It should be short (2 or 3 pages, double-spaced), a small moment, and handwritten on lined notebook paper.

Both 4th and 5th graders have a (short) math writing assignment about their math lives thus far.

Examining story objects aka artifacts, and interviewing each other to inspire writing.

Students participate in a thinking routine about a piece of artwork from the 1800s portraying California in a celestial light.
