Hello Families!
It has been so wonderful to connect with you at conferences and I am reminded how important this little window in to what’s happening in the classroom is. Your students are at the age where minimal, if any information is shared with you at home and I hope to reconnect you to the awesome work we do in Cerrito through photos and description.
Here are some photos of our field trip to the MoAD! Student got to explore the work of Black photographers who create fashion content for well known magazines. They learned about the perspective of the camera and how the photographer using that to create dimension and height. The images highlighted themes of the importance of hair and the complexities of identity. They had a great time taking BART and playing at the “epic” playground at Yerba Buena gardens.
Here are some photos from the much, discussed in conferences, cup stacking challenge.
