Friendly reminders:

  • Monday October 9th, Indigenous People’s Day (No school/no childcare)

  • Parent/teacher conferences: October 27th and Nov.3rd.

It’s only the first week of October and we can see how our students are adjusting to the new school year. Our focus so far has been helping the children to adjust and get used to the school environment, daily routine, and making new friends. It has been great watching each of them open up, get familiar with the classroom and the yard, and see friendships develop.

We have been working on establishing the classroom daily routine in Live Oak. The teachers are focusing on learning our new 2023-2024 class. We definitely know they love dancing and participating in the Spanish games! And the continents song/game as well.

We continued the apple theme with many different fun projects such as apple trees, sorting apples by color, apple marble rolling, apple geometric shapes, apple math work, and books

We also introduced the Montessori tree puzzle in which the children manipulate and learn basic parts of the tree. (Roots, trunk, branches and leaves). This presentation inspired our class to draw and paint trees.
