Celebrating Valentine’s in Live Oak

The students loved all the Valentine’s projects we provided this week. Hole punching hearts, heart prints, symmetry hearts, and heart trees. Also in our practical life shelf they enjoyed transfering hearts using tweezers, whole hand transfering hearts and finding Valentine’s treasures in the sensory bin.  The baked apples with vanilla yogurt gave a special touch to the Live Oak Valentine’s celebration.

Lunar New Year

Lion heads puppets, dragon puppets, dragon kites, Chinese writing, Chinese lanterns, and Lunar year dancing were involved in this celebration. Also, Paula, Paige’s mom gave a presentation on the Lunar New Year and shared with our class how her family celebrates this holiday.

Birthdays

Happy birthday to Cy, he turned three years old on Valentine’s day!

Traveling scholars

This week our travelers were Marshall and Rubi. They explored the Cedar classroom and met new friends. We hosted Adeline and Eden. They enjoyed the sensory bin, watercolors and silver polishing works.
