Pumpkin Carving

As every year, the pumpkin carving brought a lot of excitement to our class. Everybody had the opportunity to make their Jack-o’-lantern with the help of our wonderful volunteers! Many thanks to Emily, Sofia’s mom, Kelly, Ruby G’s mom, Erika, Lucca’s mom, and Jill, Arlo’s mom.

Halloween

We could definitely feel the Halloween mood in our classroom. The children loved and engaged with all the spooky projects and had so much fun in our Halloween party!

Cooking project

Valerie coordinated the children’s favorite cooking project: Halloween cookies! In groups of four students, everybody had the opportunity to mix ingredients and shapes cookies.

Art with Julianne

Julianne brought in a Halloween art theme with dusty chalks. The children loved the texture and made pumpkins and haunted houses.

Fantasy corner

They love our fantasy corner!

We said goodbye to the Fish Unit with a project during circle time. Each student shared something they knew or learned about fish; “Fish can’t live outside of the water” “Puffer fish have bones and are vertebrates”
