Hello Magnolia Families,

Since our last week has been jam-packed with fun and we have February Break next week, we thought we’d share some highlights with you until our next blog. On Tuesday we celebrated Friendship Day by sharing friendship cards, making marbled painted hearts, creating a friendship potion with liquid watercolors, and more. Here is a video highlight reel of our day.

Yesterday we took a walk in our neighborhood. All week we’ve been talking about safety and practicing for the big day. We packed our emergency backpack, drew a map, and invited some parenting adults to join us on our excursion around our big block! Every so often we would stop and take a look around to notice all of the details that make our neighborhood special. On Wednesday we predicted what we might see on our walk. Some predictions included: tall buildings, restaurants, cafes, a library, people, animals, children…. After our walk we checked the list and realized we saw most of those things! And, happy 5th birthday to Moumin! We got to celebrate with a birthday circle today with a special visit from Moumin’s dad Sharief, mom Selma on Zoom and his little sister Mimi 🙂
