Good morning and happy first blog day!
I woke up this morning basking in the glow of a successful BTSN. Making the effort to come out at 6:00pm on a Tuesday is no easy feat and we really appreciate it. At one point, Daniela and I stood and looked out over the classroom. There was a happy buzz in the air and everyone was tucked into little chairs, busily coloring away. We shared such a happy, satisfied smile. It was such a joy to see everyone in person (bye, bye Zoom meetings), to meet those we hadn’t yet met, and to welcome back in others.
BTSN always flies by and were left with all sorts of things that we wish we would have said, but we’re feeling so happy with what we were able to share, and know that this blog will help to fill in any blanks. We’ll be highlighting different subject areas, our changemakers and books read throughout the week, highlights and reflections, adorable photos (I mean, just look at those faces!), and different tips and tricks for teaching and learning and parenting…and to that end, if you have any good resources or things that you’d like to share with the community, send them our way!
So, thanks for the partnership and good will. Kindergarten is an awesomely wild ride and we’re so glad that you’re here for it.
Ever asked ‘What did you do today?’ and got, ‘Nuthin’ in response? Here are a few tips on how to coax out a little more information. I used to work with Playful Learning’s founder, Mariah Bruehl while living on the East Coast and she’s created a gorgeous site. Check out the Free Resources section.
