Hello Temescalians!
It’s hard to believe that our last Zoom meeting was last week, and the school year is over! But! We wanted to remind you that our Summer Wave time is tomorrow (Wednesday, 6/10) from 10:00 – 11:00am.
Jackie and I will be at TBS to return classroom items to you as well as give you your yearbook and summer work! The yearbook looks amazing, and it’s all thanks to Jackie for putting it together!

Summer Work for Reading, Math, Spanish, and Art

Please keep reading throughout the summer. Raz-Kids and Lexia accounts will still be available for you to access over the summer.

– Step 1: Go to kidsa-z.com
– Step 2: Enter or choose the teacher’s username, tbsraz3
– Step 3: Your child finds their username on the class chart. For example, Lisa’s username would be Lisa C25
– Step 4: Your child enters their password, grad2025

Lexia Core 5
Lexia Core5 Reading can be used at home for extra practice. Getting started is easy!
– To use on a computer, go to www.lexiacore5.com.
–
To use on an iPad, download the free Lexia Core5 Reading app from the App Store. (iPad support is limited to these devices: iPad 4+, iPad Mini 3+, iPad Air+, and iPad Pro.)
– The first time your child uses Core5, you may need to enter the teacher email shown below. Your child can then log in with the username and password listed below.

Teacher Email (for setup): kcampbell@theberkeleyschool.org

Username: (your child’s first name and grad year from TBS). For example: Kindergarteners: danette2028, 1st graders: claire2027, 2nd graders: alberto2026, 3rd graders: lisa2025, (no capitals or spaces). If you already have a Lexia account, your child’s username and password did not change.
Password: same as username (your child’s first name and grad year from TBS)

  • It is important that your child works without any help while using Core5. Feel free to repeat directions but do not give answers. The teachers can best monitor when help is needed and provide additional instruction at school.
  • f you have any questions about the program or your child’s username or password, please contact Katherine Campbell @ kcampbell@theberkeleyschool.org
