We have much to celebrate in our last month together. We celebrate the coming of the summer with a K-3 trip to Alameda’s Crown Beach for our annual Beach Day the first Friday of June. We were happily surprised by the warm, sunny weather and high tide for most of the time we were at the beach. We enjoyed time building in the sand, basking in the sun, and splashing in the water.

After months of researching, note taking, writing, editing, typing, and illustrating, we had our local animal research books to share! Presenting, our authors!

Our Celebration of Learning was a small group share of our books with grownups and a potluck breakfast together afterwards. It was heartwarming to see the Temescalians proudly share their informative and beautifully illustrated books with parenting adults and to hear their questions, compliments, and connections for them. The Temescalians’ hard work was truly showcased!

Our last day of school’s assembly showcased talents from the community, featuring The Blue Diamonds, farewells for departing faculty and 8th graders, and a dance party to celebrate the end of the school year!

Our annual dance party with its inevitable conga line. This year, it snaked up to the middle school level too!

That’s it! Thank you for the wonderful year together. I hope that your summers are restful. Please remember to come back and visit! Remember: Once a Temescalian, always a Temescalian!
