One of the benefits of attending an Independent Preschool through 8th grade school is early admission for siblings of current students. We know and love our current families and look forward to having the entire family in our community. No matter the age or grade of your child(ren) who are not yet enrolled at TBS, we welcome and encourage you to take advantage of this early enrollment period. While siblings are not guaranteed admission, they do have priority consideration to available openings should TBS prove to be the right match for their academic, social, and emotional profile.

Whether you’re thinking about the ECC for your youngest or thinking of making a transition for an older sibling, now is the time to begin gathering application materials for fall 2019 enrollment. It is important to note that this enrollment period includes children who will turn 2.7-years-old by January of 2020. I know it may sound strange to be thinking of preschool for a child who is currently just over a year old, but it is important to note that there are a limited amount of spaces for our 2.7-yr-old enrollees, so if you delay applying, it is very likely that we will not be able to enroll for the upcoming year. It is difficult for any of us to know if they will truly be ready by then, but if your intentions for enrollment are less flexible, the time is now to avoid being waitlisted. There is always an option to defer enrollment until they are ready. So what are you waiting for? Apply online today!

The Devil’s in the Details

Depending on the age/grade of the child for whom you’re applying, the process is slightly different. The timeline is also very different from that of outside applicants, although we do have some families who choose to be aligned with new student application timelines that are on the admissions website for various reasons. Please contact the admissions office if you have questions about the process. The application is the same for everyone, but there is a specific question there for you to identify them a s sibling applicant. Considering applying for financial aid? The financial aid application with School and Student Services (SSS) will be available online as well. Questions regarding tuition assistance should be directed to Amy Coty in the Business Office (510) 665-8800 x.110.
